Overview:  Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance to quality standards.

Job Duties:

  • Create risk assessments for, and the development of, internal audit plans. The auditor executes and guides inspections/ individual processes of the work instructions.
  • Develop audit checklists from requirements.
  • Report audit results to Quality Manager.
  • Assist with corrective action responses and evaluate effectiveness of committed corrective actions.
  • Follow-up on all corrective actions issued during audits and ensure that they are properly responded
  • Inspect and analyze parts. Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.
  • Record and follow procedures on travellers.
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned.
    1. Become an FAA Certified Repairman
    2. Learn the Pentagon parts sorting / logging program
    3. Learn to use power hand tools to work on parts
    4. Sandblast parts with glass bead for cleaning
    5. Use chemical cleaners like MEK, mineral spirits and alcohol
    6. Learn to accurately use micro measuring tools like micrometers, c-micrometers and bore gauges
    7. Perform necessary inspection procedures to insure that outgoing parts meet all required specifications and standards.
    8. Prepare and close out parts for shipping (oil the parts, wrap in plastic, etc.).
    9. Prepare required paperwork for parts shipment.
    10. Use protective equipment and appropriate work shoes as required.
    11. Have knowledge of and understanding of Appendix A. Safety Procedures.
    12. Have knowledge of and understand the ISO Quality Policy.
    13. Have knowledge of and understand the Control of Non-conforming product.
    14. Have knowledge of and understand the ISO Procedures that apply to these specific job(s).
    15. Keep your work area clean and orderly.
    16. Follow company rules and comply with the company dress code.
    17. Obey your team leader's work related instructions.
    18. Assist other Inspectors as needed.
    19. All other duties as assigned.


  • Must have basic knowledge of computers.
  • Must have typing skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have 18 months experience with Aerospace Coatings
